The EMAS system (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is the Community Eco-management and Eco-audit Regulation, a tool developed by the European Union that recognizes those organizations that have implemented an EMS (Environmental Management System) and have acquired a commitment to continuous improvement, verified by independent audits.
